Paste a script, adjust the text size and scroll speed, and choose a pause before scrolling starts. Optional voice-follow uses local speech recognition to follow your delivery.
Record with room to try again
Watch the live waveform, pause and resume, and mark mistakes without stopping. Your original takes stay available while you edit.
Edit the words and their audio
Transcribe with on-device Whisper, select words to remove their audio, and compare possible retakes. Zoom in for precise cuts, shorten long pauses, and export a WAV.
A few things to know
Is Voice Cadence free?
Yes. Recording and waveform editing work without an account. Google sign-in unlocks free on-device transcription, voice-follow, and editing by transcript words. No paid transcription API is required.
Are my recordings uploaded?
Voice Cadence stores your scripts, recordings, and edits in this browser on this device. Whisper processes audio on your device. Speech-model files download from Hugging Face before first use and are cached when browser storage is available. Your audio is not sent there.
What does signing in with Google do?
Google shares your name and email to unlock transcription and word editing. Sign-in is remembered in this tab until it expires, usually within an hour. Sign out from Account. Recordings stay in this browser and are not synced to Google or separated into cloud accounts; anyone using this browser profile can access its local recordings.
Does the website use analytics?
The public voicecadence.com website uses Google Analytics to understand visits and may use analytics cookies. Localhost and preview addresses do not load analytics. We do not send your script, transcript, or recorded audio as custom analytics events.
Can I delete a sentence from the recording?
Yes. After transcription, select words or a sentence and choose Delete words & audio. Undo restores both. Word timings are approximate, so listen to your edits and use the waveform to refine a cut.
How do I keep a copy of my work?
Export WAV saves your edited audio as a file. Save backup downloads a .cadence project containing your script, original takes, transcript, and edit history. Browser storage can be cleared, and recordings do not automatically transfer to another browser, device, or website address.
Do I need to install a desktop app?
No. Use a modern browser with microphone access and WebAssembly support. Recording and waveform editing work without loading Whisper; transcription performance depends on your device. Native iPhone and Android apps are not available yet.
